IoT for Monitoring Mall’s Air-Conditioning |Times Square

As shopping malls become increasingly integral parts of our communities, it is important for mall owner to maintain a comfortable environment for shoppers, staff, and visitors alike.

To ensure mall’s shopping environment remained at optima level throughout the day, Time Square invited Armitage to provide IoT technology to monitor temperature and humidity.

The sensors are respectively located in various area within the mall and its rooftop to monitor both temperature and humidity.  The mall staffs will receive the instant alert once there is either excess of threshold or abnormal changes detected.

The sensors are also used to collect data of temperature and humidity and to send to Time Square’s control room.  Those data facilitate mall managers’ preventive measurement and allow them to make better arrangement for the mall’s air-conditioning.

Overall, the implementation of IoT for monitoring mall’s air-conditioning can help Time Square to improve energy efficiency and reduce overall labor and monetary cost.
