Participating in the “Youth Internship Programme” by ERB – Joining Hands with Youth to Explore Careers in the IT Industry

Armitage has long been committed to talent development and industry legacy. This year, our participation in the "Youth Internship Programme" organized by the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) was featured in TOPick from HKet, local media, highlighting how we provide IT internship opportunities to help local students take first step in career planning and gain hand-on experience in the practical operations of the IT industry.

Internship Sharing: From Campus to Workplace

A Year 2 student majoring in Social Work and Communication at Hong Kong Baptist University joined Armitage as an Administrative and Marketing Intern through this programme.  “In school, I was used to working with familiar to complete my assignment independently.  However, the workplace requires collaboration across teams and the use of mutually compatible tools for seamless handovers.  This experience deepened my understanding of innovative tech services, and I will continue learning to master various tools and enhance my adaptability and efficiency.” The intern shared.

Corporate Perspective: The IT Industry Needs Diverse Talent

“The IT industry offers diverse career paths. Beyond technical roles like programmers and software engineers, positions such as business analysts act as bridges between clients and technical teams, requiring not only IT knowledge but also strong interpersonal and communication skills.”  Miss Winnie Chau, Senior Operation Manager from Armitage, stated.   She also praised the intern’s proactive learning attitude and encouraged young people to remain persistent, patient, and open to acquiring new skills in this fast-evolving field.

Commitment to Social Responsibility: Nurturing the Next Generation

Armitage has long supported youth development in Hong Kong through structured internship programmes and career guidance initiatives.  We believe that technological innovation and talent development go hand in hand.  In the future, we will continue to collaborate with organization like ERB to help youth unlock their potential and contribute to Hong Kong’s innovation and technology development.
