Our IoT edge computing solution aims to build a smart world that enables customer to perceive, analyze, control, and optimize the traditional physical systems using modern cyber technologies. One of our recent successful cases was reforming the lock system of a local construction site by deploying Edge Computing technology to its existing set-up. 

Our Client stated that there has always been an issue for logistic management of keys for prohibited rooms (eg. HV Room) which are shared between numerous workers. To solve the problem, we developed a system which connects a virtual key to a mobile app. Using Bluetooth (BLE), authorized sub-contractors can use the virtual key to open the specific room door; lock the door upon work completion; and report the status in the same mobile app.

This solution provides a systematic workflow procedure for virtual key application, approval and authorization. Management can easily obtain a full transaction log of keys and utilization of various rooms which helps in the assurance of the site’s security. Only qualified workers can get the key, and there will be no more physical loss of traditional keys.
